Ms. Robinson's Class

“What you leave behind is not what is engraved in stone monuments,

but what is woven into the lives of others.”   ~Pericles

Every classroom is a community full of unique and precious individuals. My aim is to build a team camaraderie that celebrates each child’s unique talents and abilities. I work hard to discover the strengths and limitations of each student and challenge them to accomplish more. It is imperative that our class becomes a community of students who genuinely care about one another. My goal is to create a nurturing classroom in which each child is able to flourish and grow with the encouragement of each member of our class. In this type of environment, your child will be able to achieve high academic goals, to think critically, and to become a confident life-long learner. Most importantly, they will develop empathy and people skills that will impact our school, our community, and our world.

On this page, and the 2nd grade page, you will find information about our academic year ahead. I also have a website that I use to update the parents in my class:

I grew up in the Bay Area. In my free time I enjoy singing, reading, cooking, working out, watching sports (especially football), and spending time with my family. My husband and I live nearby and have three daughters. They all attended Green Valley School, Los Cerros, and Monte Vista. They are all graduates of UCLA (Go Bruins!) I've been teaching at Green Valley School for 20 years. I've taught every grade from  K-5th. I love teaching children. I love the moment of discovery, when the light bulb goes on in a student's mind and they "get it!" I love helping kids believe in their own ability and guiding them on the path to being a successful student and person. I hope I can make a difference in the lives of my students by being a teacher that really listens to, understands, and appreciates each child.
